Why the New Year Matters

I know what some of you are thinking. January 1st is just another day. Sure you might get out of going to work (if you’re lucky enough) but at the end of the day, It’s not like some magic is going to wash over the world and make everything new. It’s not like you’re any different than the day before, and as such, those resolutions you made may be as temporary as the paper they’re written on. You’ll probably still go to work like any other day on the 2nd, the holiday season will basically be over, and life will go on as it has.
